Lalitha Parameswari extols Sri Ambal as " AA BRAHMA KEETA JANANI". I line with this description, Sri Ambal is protecting the entire universe as its Prime Mover, as the Divine Mother, as Sri Matha. Total Surrender to and Upasana of the Supreme Parambika will open the floodgates of knowledge of Moksha Vidya or Brahma Vidya, better known as " SRI VIDYA", this is called "Sri Vidya Upasana". This great 'Sri Vidya' clearly explains/describes, the abode of Sri Ambal and how she showers her blessings on her devotees. Sri Devi's Parivara Deities, their abodes and duties, Avarana deities and - How the universe is functioning under the influence and authority. As the two sakthis of Sri Devi, Mathrini and Dhandini take care of Administration and defence respectively. In between, Bala, Annapoorna and Aswarooda represent the Anga, Upanga and patyanga Deities of Sri Ambal. Only after getting clearnce from Bala, Annapoorna and Aswarooda, it will be possible for any sadhaka to approach and obtain the blessings of Sri Ambal. this is the secret of Sri Vidya Upasana.Bearing in mind that a temple for Sri Ambal complete with Anga, Upanga, Prathanga and Avarna deities will greately help in elucidation and propogation of the nuances of Sri Vidya Upasana.

It has been decided with the blessings of Sri Ambal and His Holiness Jagadguru Paramahamsa Parivrajakacharyavarya Sri.Sri.Sri. Ramakrishnananda Saraswathi Swamigal, the 33rd pontiff of Sri Vidya Peetam (Rishikesh) 5/ 13, Station Border road, Chromepet, Chennai - 44 to construct a new temple at the Ashram premises for Goddess Sri Lalitha Parameswari with Manthrini, Dandini, Bala, Annapoorna, Aswarooda, Sri Ganesha, Subramanya, Ardhanaareeswara, Adi Sankara, Durga, Lakshmi, Saraswathi, Dakshinamoorhty, Dattaraya and Navagraha in a manner the like of which does not exist anywhere nowThis temple will serve :
- as a model for the construction of similar temples elsewhere.
- As an authentic guide for Sri Vidya Pasakas and
- As afountain head of all prosperity and enable all to receive the perpetual blessings of Sri Ambal.
A circumambulation of the Temple once is equal to one Navaavarna pooja. Giving predominance to Sri Vidya Pooja karma besides installing and sanctifying the deities in Vedic style, arrangements will be made to perform Avarna Pooja and Special Poojas daily.
